***** ROUND ROBIN TIE-BREAKERS *****

Round Robin Standings: In the event of a tie in the standings, to see which teams advance to the next round, the following tie-breakers will come into play.
IF 2 TEAMS ARE TIED WITH IDENTICAL WON-LOST RECORDS:
Tie BREAK #1 – If they played each other during the round robin, the winner of that game will advance to the next round.
Tie BREAK #2 – If THEY DID NOT PLAY EACH OTHER during the round robin, then it goes to the better ratio of goals for vs goals against (team +/- rating) in the RR.
Tie BREAK #3 – If the +/- rating is the same, then the team with the most number of Goals For in the RR will advance.
Tie BREAK #4 – If the Goals For are identical, then the two teams’ regular season record vs. each other will be considered.
Tie BREAK #5 – If the reg. season Win/Loss vs. each other is the same, then the reg. season goal differential (+/-) in the teams’ season series vs. each other will decide who advances.
Tie BREAK #6 – If the season series +/- vs. each other is identical (meaning it is 0), then the regular season points totals of the two teams will be the deciding factor.
Tie BREAK #7 – If the regular season points totals are the same for both teams, the team with the most number of wins will advance.
Tie BREAK #8 – If the regular season records are identical, then the overall regular season +/- will decide which team advances.
Tie BREAK #9 – If the reg. season +/- rating is the same, then the team with the most number of Goals For will advance.
Tie BREAK #10 – If the reg. season Goals For are the same, then the team that had the least amount of penalty minutes during the RR tournament will advance.
Tie BREAK #11 – If the amount of penalty minutes are the same for both teams, the advancing team will be the one that had the highest total of individual points (goals plus assists) on the official scoresheets during the round robin tournament.
Tie BREAK #12 – In the event that the first 11 tie breakers have not decided which team advances, a coin toss will occur, with both teams’ captains in attendance, to decide which teams advance.
IF 3 OR MORE TEAMS ARE TIED WITH IDENTICAL WON-LOST RECORDS (if, at any point during the tie-breaks below, process of elimination causes there to be only two teams left, then the 2-team tie-breakers above come into effect):
Tie BREAK #1 – Team(s) with best Goals For vs Goals Against (+/-) in the round robin.
Tie BREAK #2 – Team(s) with most number of Goals For in the round robin.
Tie BREAK #3 – Team(s) with best regular season points total.

Tie BREAK #6 – Team(s) with most number of regular season Goals For.
Tie BREAK #7 – Team(s) with the best regular season record vs. the affected teams.
Tie BREAK #8 – Team(s) with least amount of penalty minutes in round robin.
Tie BREAK #9 – Team(s) with highest total of individual points (goals plus assists) on the official scoresheets in the round robin.
Tie BREAK #10 – In the event that the first nine tie-breaker rules have not decided which team(s) move(s) on, it will be decided with some sort of game of chance that will depend on the number of teams implicated.  All team captains involved will need to be present for this.
